Mr. Tyler Branigan

Tyler Branigan is the Senior Instructor of NOVA.

Tyler had his first introduction into martial arts when he was 3 years old. At that time he trained with his Dad, Mom, and Brother in ITF TaeKwonDo.

In the Fall of 1997 he began his training in Traditional WTF TaeKwonDo.

His instructor at that time was Mr. Watson who was an excellent instructor. After many many hours of training and countless bumps and bruises Tyler was given the opportunity to test for his 1st Degree Black Belt.

On April 22, 2000 he tested and passed his 1st Dan Examination.

He spent a few years training on his own, studying various styles.

In March of 2006 Tyler opened N.O.V.A. Martial Arts Academy.  One of his personal goals was to retire into teaching Martial Arts full time. So he figured it was better to start working toward that goal right away rather then wait.

March 15th 2007 Tyler tested before the United States Chung Do Kwan Association national testing board for Second Degree Black belt, which he passed!

March 5th 2009 Tyler tested before the United States Chung Do Kwan Association national testing board for Third Degree Black Belt, which he passed!

Tyler is certified as a 3rd Dan by the USCDKA,  WCDKA, and the Kukkiwon/WTF.

He is also a USCDKA Certified Chief Instructor.
